Aly Raisman is a gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast who captained her U.S. team to victories in both 2012 and 2016. She has earned six Olympic medals overall and was part of two gold-medal-winning World Championships teams. A native of Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's love for the sport can be traced to her first "mommy & me" gymnastics class she took at the age of 18 months. Aly is a great advocate of body positive and is a leader and an activist in the gym. Recently, she spoke out about Larry Nassar's sentencing. Aly was born on the 24th of April, 1994. Aly Raisman started gymnastics from a young age, and played a role in helping her U.S. gymnastics team win the 2011 World Championships. The following year, she won two gold medals -- one in the team competition and another in the single floor exercise. She also won a bronze medal for the beam during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Raisman received silver in both the individual and floor finals of the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Additionally, she brought home a gold award in the team gymnastics competition. Raisman was the subject of a scandalous revelation in 2017. The athlete had been assaulted sexually at the hands of an ex-team physician Larry Nassar. In the next year, Raisman sued USA Gymnastics. Alexandra Alexandra Alexandra
